Scheduled
Dear Customer,

Following on from our previous announcements around our DH01 upgrade and replacement project, we have now reached an important milestone where we are able to commission the new B Feed infrastructure into the Data Hall resulting in the following change announcement.

WHAT
We will be connecting to the newly installed B Feed infrastructure to Data Hall 1. It will be necessary to shut down B-Feed Power Distribution Boards to complete these works safely. As such customer will have REDUCED RESILIENCE during this window. A-Feed primary and secondary power will be unaffected.

Unless specially specified Pulsant racks are installed with dual feeds, only the B-Feed will be affected by these works. The A-Feed will remain unaffected and protected throughout these essential maintenance windows. Any single supplied racks will be affected, so we need to provision for this.

Pulsant requests that all affected customers ensure that power in their rack(s) has been properly configured, so that a loss of a single feed, will not impact their equipment. If you are unsure of connectivity, please contact Pulsant via a helpdesk ticket, so that we can confirm for you with regards to mitigating any impact or risk to your equipment.

To reduce risk, these works are being carried out over several days with only one Distribution Board being worked on each day. Details are noted below with regards to the proposed plan

WHY
This forms part of the on-going project where we are upgrading and replacing critical infrastructure that supplies services to Data Hall 1 in our South London facility by making operational the new B Feed infrastructure.

We will be working on one Distribution Board per day. Pulsant will notify customers when works are due to start and when they have been completed on each specific unit.

We have specified a maintenance window of up to 6 hours each day to allow us an adequate time window to complete all the necessary works, testing and commissioning to an operational state.
Extensive preparation with our contractors has taken place for these essential change over works.
We will have several contractors and Pulsant personnel on site including to support of our Generators, UPS devices and electrical infrastructure during this transition.

WHEN
PDU3B Board: Wednesday 15th May 2019 09:00BST to 15:00BST.

To mitigate risk, Pulsant have scheduled for these works to be carried out during the working day.
A further broadcast notification will be sent out in due course, when we have completed the installation and testing of the new UPS B feed infrastructure and transfer back accordingly.

The At Risk window will be kept to an absolute minimum and full site resilience and protection at the earliest opportunity.

Pulsant thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support

Regards,
Pulsant Support Team
